Sweetwater Community Planning Group (SCPG)

The Sweetwater Community Planning Group (SCPG) consists of fifteen members elected by the Bonita-Sunnyside community or appointed by the Board of Supervisors. They are responsible for reviewing building and land use proposals ensuring compliance with local, county and state regulations. They then advise the County of San Diego staff on all building and land use matters in the area. Their mission is to maintain the Sweetwater Planning area as semi-rural and follow the Sweetwater Community Plan and Sweetwater Design Guidelines.

The only requirement is that you live in the 91902 zip code. The term is for four years and those in office must take an Ethics course online every other year.

Meetings: This group meets the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00pm at the Bonita-Sunnyside Fire Station, 4900 Bonita Road, Bonita. They do not go dark in the summer.
