I’m always looking for ways to support our community, whether it’s honoring our veterans, investing in our youth, or making housing more accessible. Here are a few exciting updates I wanted to share with you:
Honoring Our Veterans
Join me for a special event in North County showcasing the powerful oral histories of military veterans. These firsthand accounts will be permanently archived at CSUSM’s Kellogg Library and the U.S. Library of Congress, ensuring their legacies live on for future generations.
I am honored to be speaking at this event, and I encourage you to attend to hear these incredible firsthand accounts.

Supporting Oceanside American Little League
One of my most important responsibilities as County Supervisor is ensuring your tax dollars benefit our community. Last year, I directed grant funding to Oceanside American Little League to restore fields, improve landscaping, and install new scoreboards and lighting. Last weekend, I attended their Opening Day Ceremony, and seeing the excitement on the kids' faces was priceless!

If you’re involved with a non-profit organization or know someone who is, I encourage you to reach out! My office is committed to supporting programs that make a real impact in our community. For grant opportunities, please contact Candyce Yee at Candyce.Yee@sdcounty.ca.gov, and she will assist you with the application process.
Giving Back with Meals on Wheels
I recently had the privilege of volunteering with Meals on Wheels, and it was an incredibly rewarding experience. This organization does more than deliver meals—they provide companionship and care to seniors and individuals with disabilities. I’m grateful for the chance to connect with and support our North County neighbors, and I encourage everyone to find ways to give back to our community.

New Housing Portal – Easier Access for All
The 'My Housing Applicant Portal' is now live! This new online platform makes it easier than ever to apply for County housing programs or update existing applications—all from your phone, tablet, or computer.

From honoring those who served to supporting local families and youth, I’m committed to making a real impact in North County. I hope to see you at the veterans’ event, on the field, or taking advantage of our new housing resources!
