So Many Amazing Artists in One Place!

When Chula Vista Art Guild advertised that they would be having an Art Exhibit at the Bonita Museum and Cultural Center, I was all in! All I had to do was pick three of my favorite oil paintings and run them over to the Museum by noon on October 12th. Piece of cake!

Isn't it funny how some of the simplest things in life turn into some of your most challenging days? As I picked my entries, a friend called and asked if I could drop her's off, too, as she would be out of town on Saturday. No problem!

Then my son called and asked if I could help out with babysitting as sitter plans fell through and he had plans to be in Mexico all weekend for a wedding. Of course!

So Saturday morning I loaded up my truck, because that's the vehicle with two carseats installed, and we headed off to the Museum. I had three large oil paintings and my friends framed-with-glass beauties in my arms. We headed across the parking lot with a 6 year old hanging on one arm and an almost 3 year old hanging on the other. Back to the truck because this was going to be a two-trip adventure.

We got all the art pieces entered and all were accepted! Wow, that alone was amazing! But then the girls and I walked around the room looking at all the beautiful pieces, and I mean beautiful! I was blown away at all the talented artists we have in such a small area! I even caught glimpse of an Uwe Werner seascape in the corner. Life doesn't get any better!

This is going to be an amazing show, partnered with the Bonita Valley Garden Club's "Blooming Arts" and all those incredible flower interpretations. The doors open Friday, October 25th at 10am and close at 2pm on Saturday, October 26th. This is one you won't want to miss!

And my granddaughters and me, we headed over to Hans & Harry's Bakery for a sweet reward to ourselves!
