One of my most important responsibilities as your County Supervisor is ensuring that your tax dollars directly benefit our community. Each year, I have the opportunity to allocate funds to local nonprofits and charities that make a real difference in people’s lives. These organizations help keep our neighborhoods safe, support our military families, preserve our environment, and enrich our culture.
I want to highlight a few of the incredible groups that are using these funds to improve our region—and if you work for a nonprofit or know someone who does, I encourage you to reach out. We may be able to support your efforts!
Supporting Our Military Families
Every holiday season, the Armed Services YMCA of Camp Pendleton brings joy to military families through its Santa’s Workshop program. With $25,000 in funding, we helped purchase toys and bicycles to brighten the holidays for children whose parents serve our country.

Protecting Our Beaches
The beauty of our coastline is one of North County’s greatest treasures. That’s why we allocated over $10,000 to Save Oceanside Sand, a group dedicated to preserving our beaches. These funds are helping purchase beach transect data collection gear, 5G connection service equipment, and specialized software to analyze beach conditions and advocate for long-term solutions.
Enhancing Fire Safety
The past few months have reminded us how crucial it is to be prepared for wildfires. That’s why we dedicated $50,000 to assist in the purchase of a new fire station in Oceanside. This investment will help firefighters respond to emergencies faster and protect our homes and families.

Supporting the Arts
Oceanside Museum of Art is a cultural gem in our region, and we’re proud to support its expansion efforts. Our funding helped cover building construction and architectural design costs at its location on 704 Pier View Way, ensuring a vibrant space for creativity and learning.
These are just a few of the impactful programs we’ve been able to support. If your organization is making a difference in our community, we want to hear from you!
