Campaign Signs Gone Wild!

As you might know, we are having a "special" (six million dollar special) election on April 8th to fill the County Supervisor District 1 spot that Nora Vargas left vacant when she abruptly decided not to take her oath.

Usually when an election is coming up, you will see some campaign signs scattered around the community.

On my drive to the post office today, I could not believe how many signs that one candidate had put up! They were everywhere!

I can't imagine her climbing all those telephone poles to hammer in the signs. So I'm led to believe that she hired someone.

The campaign rule is that you give out signs to people who support you and they put the signs up in their front yard. Residents showing that they support you and letting others know who you will be voting for.

Placing your campaign signs in a public space is a big NO NO. The county or city (depending where they are located) comes out and removes your signs and I've never heard of the candidate getting the signs back.

I wish that they would fine the candidate for each unlawful sign and then maybe they would follow the law in the future.

Drive around the neighborhood and see for yourself!
