California Families Left Behind—While Politicians Prioritize Illegal Immigrants

California is one of the most expensive places to live in the country. Every time you fill up your gas tank, buy groceries, or pay your utility bills, you feel it. It’s becoming harder and harder just to afford to live here.

It doesn’t have to be this way. But instead of easing the burden on hardworking families, incompetent politicians have grown the size of government and made a choice—illegal immigrants receive more than the taxpayers funding this state.

A California Department of Finance official recently revealed that taxpayers are footing a $9.5 billion bill this year to provide healthcare for illegal immigrants. That’s $9.5 billion taken from your hard-earned money and handed over to people who are here illegally, while families struggle to pay rent and seniors worry about their retirement.

Meanwhile, California is facing a $68 billion deficit—a crisis fueled by reckless spending and mismanagement. Instead of taking responsibility, cutting waste, and prioritizing the people they were elected to serve, state politicians are doubling down. They aren’t making the tough choices to support working families, small businesses, or the seniors who built this state. Instead, they’re prioritizing people who broke our laws to be here.

There isn’t enough money to fund every program they want, so they had a choice—support struggling families, or funnel billions to illegal immigrants. They chose the latter. That’s wrong, and they must be held accountable.

California’s elected officials should be working for you—the taxpayers who fund their salaries and the services we all rely on. It’s time to demand better. If your representatives aren’t fighting for you, they don’t deserve your vote.

It’s time to stand up and say enough is enough. California must put its citizens first.
