A Great Catchphrase Then and Even More So Now

Hilda Edeen was a realtor in the Bonita-Sunnyside area for thirty or more years. You might remember her realty . . . Village Realty. In fact, you might have even purchased a home from her!

Her daughter, Patricia Holland, worked in her mother's office and often helped with real estate ads. When Hilda was trying to come up with a catchphrase that would best capture the essence of Bonita, her daughter Pat came up with the following:

"City Close, Country Quiet"

It described the neighborhood to a "t" and brought many buyers into the area who were looking for a rural locale that was quiet yet close to nearby ammenities. The tranquility of Bonita-Sunnyside was exactly what people were looking for and Hilda sold a lot of homes. It's exactly what people are still looking for and describes so well the rural-residential character that Bonita-Sunnyside is trying hard to hold on to.

Pat Rourke (nee Holland) still lives in Bonita and recently stated that her family has lived in this community for over one hundred years. With its rustic, rural character . . . who would want to leave?
